Pair of 20th Century Table Lamps

A vvery striking and heavy pair of lamps, they’ve got a distinctly sculptural quality about them. The bodies have that sinuous, twisted column form reminiscent of postmodern design from the late 1970s The brushed or aluminium finish gives them a bold, industrial look, softened by the flowing curves. The hexagonal bases are a nice touch — geometric meets organic — which again points to that late-20th-century designer aesthetic.
